this out...
We are excited to announce our final performer for the Sunday concert. Following the Harp Ensemble Experience performance, we will be featuring a set by Christa Grix, jazz harpist.
Equally adept as both a classical and jazz harpist, Christa Grix can effortlessly make the transition from the jazz rhythm section to the symphonic string section sound effortless.
The appeal and respect her music generates has taken her throughout the U.S., Canada
and Europe as an invited soloist and clinician for each of the major harp festivals and conferences.

Hi
Folks...
A
couple of new items to share with you...
First,
The Heritage Inn has informed us that they will need to
open up the rest of the rooms that we have reserved, for
The Harp Gathering, to the general public on April 21,
2008. As long as rooms are available thereafter, you will
still be able to take advantage of the Harp Gathering
2008 room rates however, in order to be sure to get a
room reserved at the Inn, it would be best to make your
reservations before April 21. When
calling, let the Inn know you need "The Harp
Gathering 2008" room rates. For reservations call
the Inn directly at 419.445.6408 or 800.590.9755.
Second,
we at The Harp Gathering are pleased to announce that
Timothy Harps will be contributing one of his brand new
Two Horizons Flutes, in the key of "D," to the
Harp Hunt and Gather(ing) contest. It is handcrafted in
solid hardwoods, precisely tuned to concert pitch, and
combines the best of Celtic and Native American
woodwinds. This prize is valued at $225.
Next,
The Sauder Village - Heritage Inn has also announced that
they will be contributing 2 complementary nights at the
Inn, to be used in conjunction with the free Harp
Gathering 2009 registration that will be given away at
the Harp Hunt and Gather(ing).
Finally,
the following folks have also contributed the following
items to the Harp Hunt and Gather(ing):

Hi
Guys and Gals,
It has come to our attention that the Sauder Village,
Heritage Inn is giving some conflicting information when
folks are reserving their rooms. The Inn is getting
confused because we have not only scheduled The Harp
Gathering for 2008, but we have also scheduled it for
2009 as well. The dates for each festival are slightly
different and evidently someone is not completely aware!
Be sure to let the folks at the Inn know that you are
wanting to schedule your reservations for The Harp
Gathering 2008 (the dates of the festival being May
16-18, 2008).
We will be sure to get with the Inn, as well, to make
sure they are up to speed regarding The Harp Gathering
2008 and The Harp Gathering 2009.
Thanks for your understanding!

BIG
NEWS...
We are going to be having, as part of the "goings-on"
at The Harp Gathering, a really cool kind of scavenger
hunt called "The
Harp Hunt and Gather (ing)." It will be a fun
activity for all harpist registrants to participate in.
Basically the idea is that the participants will get a
questionnaire and then go collect the answers to the
questions and get a punch on your card from our
exhibitors and performers. After you've completed your
questionnaire you will then be entered into a drawing
for bunches of prizes (WooHoo!!). Prizes will be
announced later, but will include things like gift
certificates, CDs from performers and a free
